Default Profile Albums Have Been Enabled

We have enabled albums on your profiles. Some of you may enjoy this for saving and displaying images of your projects, while other may simply want to share some of their favorite pictures.

Please do not use it display pictures that you do not own as this could violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Additionally, all images uploaded should be family friendly.

You can organize the area into separate albums, so each project could have it's own album if you wish.

The system walks your though everything but I am adding a few screenshots to help you get started.

If you go to your profile, you will see the spot for albums on the right hand side.

You will need to create an album for the pictures first.

Once you click the link you will see this...

Router Forums Add Album.png

Fill in the requested information and click submit.

You can then begin to add images to the album.

Router Forums Upload Pictures.png

Added Note: You can select public or private for your albums, but if you choose private, please do not post a link to the image or album in the public forum as that would cause broken links for others.

I added a couple of albums to my profile if you want to check how it will look when you create albums and upload images.

Can we see them on the app? I went to your profile but can't find them.

Cricket ~ Great idea. I am sure that many of our members will want to use this new feature. I checked out your "Bit of Texas" photos on your profile. Very impressive. Keep up the good work.

Cricket.......great idea. I can see where some of the more prolific members could use this to showcase their accomplishments, and for the rest of us to drool over them.

It seems I never finish what I

Cricket - +1 for great idea. If you add pictures to your album, can you link to them from a post? In the past I have uploaded the same picture to different posts. I don't know how else to do it.

Will,

Go to the member's profile page and select the "Statistics" tab. You will then see a section "Albums". Click on "Albums Created by username" and you can open the albums.

You can do that if you want to but you will have to make sure to choose the public option for the album. It is certainly fine to upload to each thread as well.

This is just another option for people to use if they want.

Are you using the app or the web site? I'm on my Android tablet using the app and I don't see any of what you mention, no tabs. I'm thinking this must be for the web site only.

After clicking on username, drop menu hit public profile then just hit Statistics then you look for albums

Looking forward to your participation.
Filling out your profile to include (first name, tools and short bio is strictly (optional )but does help members to better relate to each other.
Thank You John
