| Registered User Forum Geek | hey guys i know its been a long time so i thought i would share the few little projects i have been doing today. Yesterday i went to my favorite store which is Lowe's!! I ended up spending $70 on miscelanious tools like a rachet screw driver that has a bit storage in the end, stain, clear cote, spray paint, and sponge sticks for staining and coating. I had some clear cote and stain all in one but i dont care for it. I like to stain it to how i like and then clear cote it. Maybe it's just me though. So the Sue's Garden sign was taken out of the ground as it was rotting and the sign was turning a dark almost black color, so i decided to take it in the shop for repairs! This sign means the world to me as my aunt recently passed away. Later on i will post a bulletin with before And after pics but for now here is some after pictures. In the pictures that is before i sanded the remaining clear cote and black off. The second one is rite before the first coat of stain. Before ![]() After: as you can see some of the darkness still remains, i put 2 coats of stain and 3 coats of sealer so it should be good for at least another year or 2. ![]() This is a bird feeder i made for my aunt that i am rebuilding with new plexi glass and stronger base. ![]() ![]() ![]() What do you guys think? Any Questions? EDIT: I dont know whats up with the pictures, its not like they came from a camera phone, if they did i would understand the small size but they came from a 8MEG Digital Camera! dont know whats up guys. Maybe its just me? but when i click on the pics to make them bigger all i get is even smaller thumbnail. But i'm tired and its 3:30AM and i'm hittin the sack. | Registered User Forum Geek | thanks guys i thought you that know me would like a update!! escuse the short stubby letters on the sign haha it was my first real sign! It was so much easier routing letters than i thought! i drew the leters on the wood and done the rest free hand. I definately want to try my hand at making a realistic looking bird house/feeder all in one. |
