| Registered User Dedicated Member | I finished the table and 2 out of 4 chairs on Christmas Eve. The other 2 chairs just need to be stained and glued together. Lots of fun to make! Used Oak and Walnut and really like the contrast. There is only one thing that I wanted to add as I didn't have time and that is small walnut dowels to reinforce my mortise and tenons on the chairs...something to add when I have time. Enjoy! | Official Greeter Supreme Forum King | Beautiful work Allison. Is that an inlay in the top of the table? And in the thin strip in the chair backs. Like George said, the color contrast is great.

| Registered User Forum King | That's fine work Allison. Just out of interest, how did you attach the table top?

| Registered User Dedicated Member | To attach the table top I had some 3/4 UHMW. I used a dovetail joint on all pieces and then pocket screwed to the legs. My kids are quite active so I attached as sound as I knew how. Allison |
