I have just finished a Cd rack for the wife to go with her computer desk I recently built. It is made out of MDF with a lipping frame of Pine. The pine is stained in an Oak/Mahogany mix and the MDF 'box' is spray painted with water based white high gloss. It will be hung above the new desk and be home to our large collection of computer CD's.

Hah, you are too kind Bob. I have no doubt that I will probably end up making a few more too as we have many music CD's not to mention the large DVD collection we have too.

Beautiful job, Mailee. Any chance of plans or work-ups showing up on the forum?

Neal

Sorry Neal, It was purely off the top of my head this one. I only took the pictures that are shown and of course no plans. Pretty basic stuff though really. Just made a box of MDF and mirrored the dados in each piece for the uprights and then used the finger joint jig similar to the Oak Park one to cut the dados for the disks. It took longer to finish the rack than to actually build it. HTH. ;-)

Nice job Mailee. I would imagine most everyone could use a good CD rack or three.

Nice Mailee, but it will only hold 144 CD's. Time to start another.
