| Registered User Forum Fanatic | I had gotten a couple of pieces of Bubinga from ebay, and was trying to find something to show them off. This clock from Wood Magazine looked like something I could do, so decided to try. The lower panel, in the plans called for a grid work, but I wanted the bubinga to show, so eliminated the grid. The rest of the clock is red oak I had laying around. Finished with 2 coats of tung oil, followed by 3 coats of wiping poly. It came out pretty good. Thanks for looking. Neal |

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Neal, I simply can't fault your beautiful most unusual clock but haven't you forgot to post the photo-shoot?

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | Thanks for the kind words, Harry, but I'm afraid I'm not learned enough to do photo shoots, yet. I know that is your bailiwick, and will try to learn that skill in the future, but, at this time, I'm still trying to learn how to take the pictures!! Neal |

| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | Nice job Neal! Just a thought, if you wanted to hide the sides from view underneath the clock you could mask off the front and hit the insides with some flat black paint or brushing lacquer. This would give it more "shadow" underneath.

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Neal, you have reached the stage where you can take a decent shot and reduce it's size to suit the forum so be a devil and take the next step, between stages when your not actually doing anything, just take a shot and do it several times until the project is complete. I shall repeat a well known true saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words"
