Hi Harry Think of a ski jig for the trim router I mount my Bosch Colt ,now and then to my ski jig.. ![]() I still need to make a clear base for the Colt, so I can get a better view of the bit,but the slot in the base works for now. to see the line I need to follow and so I can use the bigger brass guides . ====== [quote=harrysin;122737] Quote:

You made me brave the cold, wind and rain to run into my shed to study my trim router. I don't reckon it's my best approach, my 1/4" Bosch is much more suitable for ski mounting so I'll see what I can come up with during the week. Keep watching this space!
__________________ Harry The best advice that I can give a newcomer to routing is, learn to use the router mounted, this can be as simple as a board held in a vice, with the router firmly attached and a simple fence held with clamps, and when he/she feels competant and confident in it's use and is familiar with all aspects of safety, THEN, and only then proceed to learn how to use the router hand held. This is MY opinion, and may or may not coincide with that of the forum management, but is based on a lifetime of woodworking. http://members.dodo.com.au/~sharry02/ | ||
