Default Brass Router Template Guides

Does anyone know if there is an reducer adapter that would allow the use of Porter Cable Style Template Guides to be used on the Oak Park router plates. They use a 1 1/2" recess and they are expensive compared to the Porter Cable style inserts that use a 1 3/16" recess.

The oak park people have a large number of sizes and I have only seen that number on their site but if you can deal with just a basic set check LeeValley. They also have a set of reducers.... Look for o4j26.20 for the 1-1/2" 7 piece set.

That part number you gave, 04J26.20 is for a 1 3/4" set not 1 1/2"

I think if you check it says 1-3/4 counter bore which is what you want...

A 1-3/16 bore has a 1-3/8 counter bore....
A 1-1/2 bore has a 1-3/4 counter bore.

Anyway to make sure give them a call and ask before you order.

I called Oak-Park and Lee Valley and they both said their Guides had a 1 1/2 inch center hole and a 1 3/4 inch counterbore and they worked on 1/4 inch thick router plates. So I would assume that they interchangeable. The price of the Lee Valley guides are much better. They may not have the variety of the ones at Oak Park, but the sizes they do have should work for most applications where a guide is needed.
