Thumbs up New RR show on PBS TV

I saw my first "new" episode of the Router Workship in ages today on PBS. It was called "tool storage" and first aired in Feb of 2003. Most interesting were the dust pick up attachments they were using. I have begun to save all of the RR shows that I like to DVD. Is anyone else doing the same? I know its a common complaint that PBS repeats the same shows over and over but maybe in different parts of the country (the world?) different shows are aired. Anyway when I get a bunch saved I will write up the list. I hope todays new show is the start of a new series on PBS.

Again thanks to Bob and Rick for doing so much with just the basics.

I just started saving shows on our cable's version of TiVO. I have enjoyed the shows and plan to save certain ones.

I do the same, as I am usually at work when the show airs, I have my TiVo programmed to save all of the shows. Then I go back later and watch them when I get home. I select the shows that show a unique technique or project and record them to VHS. For example, I loved the box of hearts, saved the show and made one for my wife for valentive's day. It was a big hit with her.

I had been watching the show every evening after work and before I go down to my own workshop. However PDS, here in Rochester NY, has taken the show off the air and replaced it with a learning segment.
P.S. I would also like to see the back of Bob and Rick's Router table.

Rolf, there are photo's of the back side of the table somewhere on the forum. I believe it is located in the table mounted routing section.

From what I can tell... PBS used the timeslot that I normally see for 2 weeks. Saturday and Sunday are the days for all of the shows that feature our hobby. Bob and Rick return on the 20th- all is well in the Pacific Northwest.

I am also saving The New Yankee Workshop programs. Norm recently did a show on modular library/wall units that I liked. Again, like much of what Bob and Rick do, Norm made a complex project look easy.

Rolf; Go to "Portable Routing" and look for Bob and Ricks Work Shop. Look at item 23 which shows the back of my table, click on the pictures. It was built from plans that were on a CD that came in the box of my new PC 895 router. They are for the Router Workshop table with Bob giving instructions on building the table. If you can get your hands on this CD it is very good. The pictures are as on the plans with an extra shelf.

Good Luck, Glenn

Rolf, forget seeing a shot of the table. I asked a long time ago to see it. It is impossible. Kevin tried to get some pictures posted for me, but they were all pictures of projects in the studio. No pictures of Bob & Rick's table. Exboss has posted pictures of his table. Nice job he has done, but it's not Bob & Ricks table. So don't look for the elusive table. By the way, welcome to the forums.
