Default Craftsman RT and Bosch 1617
Report Post Report This Post!

Just bought a craftsman professional router table model # 9-26462 that was brand new in box for $50. Also bought new a bosch 1617evs fixed/plunge base kit from lowe's for $189. It was marked down $20 bucks. I haven't put the RT together yet as I wanted to see if I would get lucky and the mounting holes would match up in the RT to the base of the router. No luck. So I am assuming I will have to make one using the sub base as a template and the RT (with all those predrilled holes to nowhere). My first question is should I drill holes directly into the RT or make a sub-base (or use the one that came with the router) with holes to attach to the RT? This is my 2nd post as I have just came into woodworking. Please have patience with my ignorance.

Got it mounted, had to make my own plate. Will make another in the future as I am about an 1/8 inch off center. Shouldn't be an issue until I start using larger diameter bits.
