| Forum Moderator Supreme Forum King | It is a good thing there is not a law agisinst stealing... er borrowing ideas from friends around here or I would be in jail. Ever since getting my Oak-Park router center, I have been wanting to make a few modifications to fit my personal tastes and needs. Well, along comes Corey building his own fancy smancy set up with drawers and the whole works and just sent me into a tiz of inspiration. So, being down with some temporary sight issues, I needed an easy and safe project to work on while waiting on my meds to do their thing and just plain out stole his ideas and worked them into a complete rehab of my own. I added some drawers with cedar facing and nice pulls. Removed the lettering on the front of the table so I would not look like a groupie or something Sanded and finished the whole potato with 2 coats of tung oil finish and 1 coat of wipe on poly. Drawer boxes were made of MDF and failed an attempt of pocket hole construction so they are gluded and fastened with 1 inch brads which should do the trick. I never made drawers or faces before and you would not be seeing them from me now if it weren't for all the help from Corey. Here is the results and still a little more work to do yet, including drilling out the router bit holder in the top drawer insert. Lot's of yellow abound and I think Oak-Park needs to sell yellow smocks to complete the color coordination Maybe you can steal... err borrow some ideas from these pictures since we are such a lawless forum of characters ![]()

| Retired Moderator Supreme Forum King | It turned out great Bob! I really like the cedar faces you put on as well. In woodworking there is not stealing of ideas... just sharing of ideas and I think the drawers make for a better set up than those original pull outs for guide sets etc. BRAVO job buddy. Now aren't drawers easy ![]() Corey

| Senior Moderator Supreme Forum King | Bob, you just lost 3 brownie points for removing the name from the table.(Or is that brown nose points?) I am not too worried about anybody calling me a groupie, or anything else for that matter. I am rough and tough like alligator baggies! On the serious side when I do a presentation I offer information on all products and let people know that the Router Workshop system is my favorite and the reasons why.

There are two drawers in the desk I am sittin at now - the boxes and the fronts are made of 1/4" MDF -- and they are simply butt-jointed and glued - and they have survived almost 5 years. Of course -- they dont take the abuse shop drawers would - so the brads probably come in handy. I love your table. Now that I have that chest out of the way - a router table is my next project. And yes -- I plan on 'adapting' a number of ideas I have gotten here :-) | |

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Well Bob, if you turn out work like that whilst having eye problems, what are we going to have to compete with when you get back to normal? The unfortunate thing about it's design is that I would need a step ladder to use it, are all you Yanks 6'4"? Get well soon.
