Default Update: my first router table (to be)

Finally... got a call from home that my DW618PK has been delivered! Yea haaa!

Today I also went ahead to order the Hartville table, a 5/16" template guide (and lock nut) a blanked center disc and a vacuum attachment. Should arrive next week. My vacation will start Dec 17 .. will have 2 fun weeks to complete my first router table. Apparently I have work to do:

1. need to convert my eixsting 36" Hartville miter fence to a router fence (just need to mill out an roughly 4" x 2" hole).

2. Drill mouting holes on the plate (Bob: I spoke to them today, the hole of the blanked disk is 5/16", they suggest me and I bought the 5/16" bushing for centering the router.)

3. decide on and build the stand ... decision, decison ...

4. still need to buy some more mounting hardware for the fence.

Thanks for all your inout (pls keep them coming especially if you notice I any oversight on this "project"). I will post updae and surely questions in next few weeks.

Gonna be a fun Christmas!

Hi Wagon Man

You'er Welcome

Looks like you have it pretty well covered The only thing I don't see is a starter pin some times called a safety pin...
But I may have miss it in the pictures

It's pin that pops in the base plate so you can use the router table without a fence when you want to put on round over edge on a round projects or to say that's not strait...like shelf supports ,etc.

Looks like it's fun time you

Update ,,looks like it comes with the brass starter pin as a default item..
So it looks like you have all the items you need..

"Our solid MDF table top has high pressure laminate on both sides (not melamine).
The removable 9" x 12" composite plate has a patented leveling system for a flush fit, a brass starting pin, and a snap out center disk which accepts Porter-Cable style template guides.
Our Utili-Tape T-Track gives a solid method of attaching your fence (slot accepts the head of any 1/4-20 bolt), and provides a built in reference for making settings and adjustments.
Aluminum miter channel guides standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter gauges.
Top is approx. 24" x 32" and is 1-1/16" thick. USA"
