Default Okay, so I do have a question

In my first 'post', I said I don't have a question yet. I do have one. In the directions for assembly of my BenchDog ProTop Contractor benchtop router table, (which will from now on be the BDPTCBTRT, lol), it says that when attaching the fence, I may use either 'standard mounting' towards the rear of the routertop (?) or choose 'reverse' mounting, that is, reversing the fence and mounting it towards the 'front' of the router table? What's the difference and which will give me the most versatility in routing? There, a question. Thanks.

Hey TwoBits. I had the BDPTCBTRT at one time. It's a nice solid well made unit and a mini version of the big Pro Fence. Excellent fence system. OK.. the question... if you use it to the front of the table ( towards the T-or Miter Track) there is less room towards the front edge and for a large piece you may not be able to safely route the piece. If you turn the fence around and have the back of the fence towards the T-Track you have much more room to route a larger piece if need be. Hope this helps.
Merry Christmas!
Corey

Thanks for the reply. I'll get the table together tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Have a great Christmas.
