Default stacker stick stains

I have some oak that has stains from the stacker sticks used in drying the wood. I have tried planing and sanding but the stains still remain. Any ideas as to how tio remove these dark stains?
Thanks,
John

John, those migrating wood stains are tough to beat because the pigment moves deep into the wood. There is a product called wood bleach that should remove them, but you might want to try an easy inexpensive way first. Our old friend Boraxo hand cleaner in a paste or Borax laundry powder. They will both neutralize the tanin which causes some of the stain. For other suggestions you might try one of the finish web sites like: www.minwax.com
