Default router table top material

has anyone seen the "tileboard" at home depot. id be interested to hear your thoughts on it as a router tabletop material. it comes in white and feels pretty slick with a backing similar to hi pressure laminate.

Hi mharwell01

I would NOT recommend it for a router table top, for the base case yes,,it's sometimes called cabinet makers wood..it's clean but the norm is P.B./chip board.

I would suggest using 3/4" MDF ( 2 each) then put your own laminate stock on it...if you want it slick or just put on some Johnson Floor wax on it..you can band/trim it out with some nice oak..if want to clean it up just a bit..
