Default Rockler Plate

I just purchased a Rockler plate for my Bosch 1617 router. What size screws do I need to attach the plate to my router? I have to order them as where I live is over 40 miles to the nearest hardware store.
Thanks

Hi cbdeajr

It looks like it takes M4 Pan head screws but they will need to be a bit longer than the stock ones..
BUT I would use Allen Flat Head screws(counter sunk) type..

see manual page below

HI Cecil

But you are bolting the router to the plate , so to say the hole will need to be drilled out so the router can pull up to the plate not the other way around.

Bosch manuals see below

I should have said the router base is also tapped for 10-24's as well as the 4mm. The 4mm is for the base that comes on the router and the 3 that are 10-24 fits the Rockler router plate. The 10-24 are marked on the thumbnail as hole "D"

Hi cbdeajr:

The Owner's Manual for the 1617EVS is available online at:

http://mdm.boschwebservices.com/MDMC.../r00073v-1.pdf

According to the section "Use In Router Table" on Page 21 of the manual, the mounting screws are 10-24, as you indicated. (I find this curious as the other screws are metric.)

Yes Cassandra, that is the same PDF file BJ posted the link for in our Router Reference section. There is also an exploded parts view.
