Got home from the office and there was a box sitting on my doorstep. I did not remember ordering anything that size or shape lately and was a little curious, so I brought it in and opened it up. Inside I found 2 each 70450 Jet Parallel clamps. Now these are some of the most serious clamps I have ever laid my eyes or hands on, but sure are large for my work style. I will most likely see if I can work a local trade with someone for some smaller clamps or tool. I had forgot all about a promotion back when I purchased my new Jet lathe that they were offering these as a rebate and valued at $104.00

They sure are nice, but just too large for my needs.

Couldn't live without the parallel clamps.

Now that you said that out loud you will probably need them about a week after you get rid of them. Usually how it goes for me.

I wondered where my new clamps went too.

Ifin it were me.... I'd hang on to 'em Bob. You never know when you'll need them.

So that is why you were so willing to get rid of those other clamps, to make room!! I shall look forward to coming over to see them. Ya I think you should keep them, never know when I will need to borrow them for a month or two.

Well... from the looks of the overwhelming response, I guess I'd better not jump the gun of turning these loose just yet. Maybe a "too big" clamp is better than a "too small" clamp. I'll have to give myself time to think about this one more.

Thanks for bringing me to reality guys.

Ahh BJ... April 15 is just another day in paradise

I have Bessey clamps, you'll find something to do with them. The larger parallel jaws make pipe clamps superfluous. I go for the Besseys 1st
