I have a new freud FT2000 router. The micro-adjustment depth control knob will not turn. Everything else on the router seems to work fine. Any idea why? Thanks, Peter

Peter, I do not have an answer for you but the guys at Freud sure should.. I would recommend that you call 1-800-334-4107, go through the prompts and push the one for parts and service. Unlike the customer service hotline, these guys know their stuff! Good luck! Paul

Welcome to the group. The knob of the FT2000 is made of two pieces of plastic that are snapped together. Inside there are two hex nuts separated by a rubber o-ring. There is a screw in the end of the threaded rod to prevent the knob from coming off. If the knob is all the way at the top of it's travel it could be that the hex nut is binding against the screw. You can pop the knob open at the seam (which is about 3/8" down from the top) and maybe get a better idea how things are working inside.
