Default Parts list to repair unit
Report Post Report This Post!

I own a Sears Craftsman Electronic Plunge Router, Model# 315.245070 and the plunge feature has just broken. Upon taking the unit apart, I have found the broken piece and have ordered it through Sears. It was the small steel connector that hooks up from the red Release Handle to the locking mechanism on the inside of the unit. I should get it in about 7-10 days. My problem is....When I get the replacement part, I will need to Put it all back together again. Is there anyone out there who might point me in the right direction to get to the site that has the break down of the parts that make up the unit. I want to repair it myself but need access to the web site that has info on how to reassamble the router. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Smile Hi Al

Hello Al
Welcome to the forum! I believe that what your talking about is a piece of brass. There is a hole on the cylinder wall to hole the brass piece. Are you that the piece broke? Mine came out when taking the springs out. I took a small straight slot screw driver, and set the piece on the blade of the driver. I pulled the handle back, and slid the piece into the shaft hole on the blade of the driver. The little hole for the piece was on top, and i was able to push the screwdriver up and it was in place. Now you have to be careful that the piece does not fall out. You may need help in sliding the the shafts and plate in place. the adjustment parts all on one side. I describe poorly, but i hope this helps. I may be able to find the instructions, I have all my manuala in one place at the moment. Getting teady to refile, and im not doing well, sorry I have searched, and have no break down for the handle, SORRY, Will answer any questions i can.
