Sorry I missed this post, hate for questions to go unanswered for so long.

The modification is not so simple or cheap as one might hope for but this link will take you to a company that makes the "Router Raizer". They have a model that fits the plunge base of your router and might be of interest to you... but that will be up to you.

I own one of these and use it on a different router model, it does work but I have a few "issues" with it... I have seen a lot of good reviews at amazon.com you might want to check out. I will be posting my own review here on this site in the next week or so.
