| Registered User Supreme Forum King | I'm making jewelry boxes, using exotic hardwoods. I've been finishing them with lacquer, but want to try my luck with handrubbed oils & waxes. All of the Danish oils I've found have stain in them and I don't want to take away from the natural beauty of these exotic woods. Any suggestions? Thanks, Kevin |

| Registered User Supreme Forum King | I use Watco danish oil (natural) for a hand rub finish on brizialian cheery wood and like the results. It real shows off the grain.

| Registered User Jr. Member | I also make jewellry boxes and have found that by sealing the wood with sanding sealer or varnish (immediately wiped off) then rubbing in shellac with steel wool or a pot scourer then finishing with wax (also applied with steel wool) then buffed,I get a nice silky finish almost like french polish.
