I have always been primarily a portable tool (electric drill, circular saw, jig saw, router etc) person - partly by choice - and partly by budgetary and space constraints. The benchtop 'table' saw has been for years the only 'stationery' tool in my arsenal -- unless you count a router table. Sometimes I think it might be fun to have a 'New Yankee Workshop' -- where you have a specific machine for every specific task. But then other times I think half the fun is finding a way to use the tools you have to do the things you need. | |
