Question Help with a Delta planer

I had the hardwood store I buy my exotics from to mill some lumber for me. They did a really terrible job planing. I get a pretty good discount on my lumber, and they don't charge me for the milling, so I don't want to mess things up by complaining. But, a few of the boards they planed taper off to one end & one edge. I was wondering what I would have to do to straighten these boards out on my delta planer. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks,
Kevin

On your planer you need a flat "reference edge" which the planer base will follow. The upper, planed surface will end up parallel to the reference edge.

Of course you should break down your boards into slightly oversized blanks for the parts you require. In this case you will maximize the available stock. So if you need 2" rails, don't start jointing/planing 6" wide and full-length boards.

you can build a sled with a flat board underneath the warped board just make it about 6 inches longer and glue or screw board at each end of the flat board thinner than what your trying to plane the warped board . It works like a sled.
