| Registered User Forum King | I always wanted a table saw but managed to talk my self out of buying one since I’ve managed past 30 these years with just a router. They have a deal at Rockler for a jet contractor table saw JET Jwts-10cw2-Jf with cast iron wings and regular price of 699 for only 399. And I couldn’t resist. I figured what the heck it’s better than throwing the cash at the casino. Also grabbed a 60T blade on sale and a moving base. So out came the credit card and had them open the box at the store to fit it in my car but now that I’ve unloaded it in the garage, I totally have the buyer’s remorse and I’m wondering will I ever use it and if I should take it back and just forget about this table saw business no matter handy they are. And frankly these things always scared the heack out of me. Wife says keep it. But just don’t know. |

| Banned Supreme Forum King | How have you cut all of your pieces to size over the years? All with a router?! No Circular saw work? The TS is really good for ripping & crosscutting (with a CCsled or panel sled) to get parts cut for your projects. I think you'll find that it's also faster and a saw blade will cut more than a router bit will to do the same thing. I would consider keeping it... perhaps getting someone from Rockler to come over and give you a quick class in how to use it SAFELY... even if he charges you $25 or so. I really think that once you start using it, you'll like it. You DID get a very good BUY on it... Those are just my thoughts on the subject. |

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Router did someone say wishey washey, keep it and be done with it, you got a good deal ![]() It's hard to beat a good table saw ,it's like having only one hammer in the tool box...to drive all the nails you need to. ============== Quote:

| Retired Moderator Supreme Forum King | It's an awesome saw Router. I don't know how I would ever get along without a table saw as that has been the main tool in my shop for 20 years. This saw is very similar to my Delta except you got one with cast iron wings. The only thing I would think about is how much room you have for a table saw as the only drawback is the motor sticking out the back as a contractors saw takes up a lot of room. I love my table saw and I have it set up spot on but it does take up much room in my small shop and if I had to do it again I probably would downsize to a Ridgid or Bosch portable saw. Corey

| Registered User Forum King | Well, friends.. I took it back. It’s bad enough for me to have table saw buyers remorse but having bought a wrong saw is more than I can Handle. When I was at the store I asked them twice if it was a left tilt or right and was told it’s a left tilt, which I always wanted to purchase. But after spending two hours cleaning the garage and having the poor old lady help me get this monster out of trunk of the car. I started looking at the manual and specs and it is a darn right tilt saw which I didn’t want. I realize it was a super deal but I always only get something that I will use 100%. Oh well, onward with routers........... |

| Registered User Supreme Forum King | Keep looking router, you may find one at a garage sale reasonably cheap. Have you considered looking at pawn shops? They carry and sell tools too.

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Router Now that you have a Horz.Router setup you do know you can use it for a table saw or to say cut off up to 3 1/2" wide parts off boards... All you need is the right saw blade and a harbor that will fit into the router. =========== parts you need,,, I know you will like this one from Grizzly and MLCS ![]() ========== Quote:
