I purchased my Bosch variable speed jig saw a couple of months ago at Lowes. It came with an assortment of blades (some cut on the upstroke, some cut on the downstroke plus metal cutting blades. I noted that Lowes had a large display of blades, unlike the HD in my area which looks like a who did it and ran. The saw came packaged in its carrying case and the use I have given the saw, so far, proves it to be of superior quality compared to my old Craftsman and B & D, which could not hold a sraight line. Good luck with your saw and any Bosch blade will be good. That said from a Teutonic point of view.
