| Registered User Forum Fanatic | I'm attempting to make a dining table out of a red pine harvested from the cottage lot. The top is made from 1.5" x 8" boards that I laminated together with the help of biscuits. The problem I'm having is the tabletop developed a wow in one corner. Is there a trick anyone can suggest to straighten this without sacrificing the thickness of the top? I have it all clamped down to a flat surface now and while it is getting better, I'm not sure if there isn't a better way to fix this. Thanks in advance.

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Hi jer760 This just one way ![]() Build a sub frame,, ( sometimes called a dust frame) in case work, and use pocket hole screws to pull the top down in place,, the pocket holes screws will act like clamps...you can hide the sub frame with a shirt part under the table top... ====================== Quote:

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | Okay, I think I get what you're saying and will try it, do you think wetting the top would help?

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | HI jer760 No I would not put water on it ,, don't forget it was a tree at one time and will always want to go back to that form...bow/warp/bend/soak up water,etc.... Just do what you are doing clamp it down flat to your work bench, then put the sub frame in place and lock it in and pull it back in place with the screws.. ============ Quote:
