| Registered User Sr. Member | I made some panel doors 36 inches high by 12 inches wide. Right now, I'm working through the weekend and next weekend we are going up north to spend the weekend in some teepees, so I don't see any spare time in the near future for shop time. What worries me, is that these two panel doors I just made are not assembled yet. The stiles are 2 3/8" wide and 36" long....should I hurry up and get these assembled (is there a chance that they start to warp?!) or can I wait a week or two until I get some free time? The wood that I used for the stiles has been in my house for about three weeks. |

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Hi tpyke I suggest you dry clamp them up and put them to one side then when you have the time come back to them and glue them up... You can also just stack the parts up and clamp them up as one bundle..it's up to you... I should note I have many doors parts I made a year to ago and I just wrap them up with wax paper/butcher paper sometimes and shipping tape and they are still true and sq. , when I get in the mood to make cabinet doors I go just a bit nuts, it saves me time, I just cut them off to size most of the time. and just put on two cope cuts and they are set to go.I also use 5" wide stock and then just rip it to size, I put the pattern/bead on both sides, then rip them and I also use 5" wide x 12" to 24" long the norm for the rails then do the same rip to size, takes care of the nasty rip out on the ends sometimes....... =========== Quote:
