Default Kapex by Festool

How many of you are going to jump at the chance to own the new Kapex for around $1300. Interesting reading over on the FestoolOwnersforum site. Europeans are paying alot more for their wwing tools and not just Festool. I would agree that Festool seems to produce a quality product but just way to overpriced for my wwing budget. Well to do hobbyists will love these tools.

Hi woodchip7

That's a nice saw, but it's bit HIGH in price for me

http://www.kapex.co.uk/

http://www.festooljunkie.com/catalog...FSK9FQodExm6-g

We in the states can get about the same thing for about 1/3 of the price.

Bob, that $200 is just the deposit, the text of the sale lists the price at $1300

From their site:

"Pre-Order Yours Today, On Your Terms Click Here To Pre-Order We can set up recurring payments so you don’t have to stomach the whole lump sum at one time. ** If the remarks below are true, July 1st Launch Date, $200 Down and $366 a month for three months doesn’t seem so steep. Furthermore, it will be easier to hide the payment from the significant other "

But you do get free shipping.......

My Hitachi 10"slider and a huge shop-vac-- less than half of that price....

Hi kp91

" But you do get free shipping" for that price they should buy the dinner too after all you did put out..

" that $200 is just the deposit" yep saw that ,it's buying a car LOL

I would hate to ask what they sell the table saw for

With US dollar going down the tube it would be a good time to buy tools from the states... if you live in UK or down under.

I wonder if they know about Radio Arm Saws over the pond ?
After all that's all the Kapex is, just a cut down ver.of a RAS.

Bob/KP91
Watched the video clip on it and was impressed but not at $1300. Has some nice features but I'm not in the finish carpentry business so can't justify it for my hobby. I think someone said it over on the Festoolownersforum.com site. Some well to do hobbiests with more money than brains will be lined up to buy one. I do like the Domino though. Could replace the mortise machine and need to cut tennons. Again at $700 bucks I just gotta ask myself is it worth it for a hobby.
