| Registered User Supreme Forum King | Hello Jack, You might consider looking at oscillating spindle sanders. Harbor Freight has one that is functional yet inexpensive. It's on sale right now for $89.99. http://search.harborfreight.com/cpis...nder&Submit=Go

| Registered User Jr. Member | I have been looking at the drum kit offered by Stockroom and at the 18" drum offered by Sears, there is a 8 or 9 hundred dollar price difference, is there that much difference in performance. Main use would be large flat panels, cupboard doors etc. I'am a hobby worker not a profesional wood worker. Jack |

| Forum Contributer Supreme Forum King | Hi Jack I and one other member order the kit from Stockroom and it is/was a joke....on my part... I still have the one I made and have not turned it on for about a year now, A 300.oo error on my part, if you view my Gallery by clicking on the link on the left side of thsi post you will see some snapshots and a review or you can use the serach tool to find mind and the other one.. I would suggest you buy one that's made by a Mfg. ,you can find a good one for about 1500.oo .. Sanding is a big deal, it's the next to the last step in the project and it must be done right..some do use them for planners as well it's not the best way to use them but any port in a strom thing,,sometimes will do the trick.. Good luck with your quest ![]() ========== Quote:
