Thanks for the tip on the DVD's And I have to report back to the group that I embarked on a project yesterday. Instructions say "build a little base" for you tool (system) so I thought "okay, I'll use the new techniqe to do it." So I edge banded a nice piece of 15" X 28" ply with some 2" wide oak. Hole drilling and set up went just fine. It really IS a slick way to do things. BUT the damn BIT that came in mine was too short and a bit beat up and when I went to drive screws through the ply and into OAK it would jump out/spin out etc.etc. Wrecked parts of two fingers and made a nifty gouge in one hand. Did get the screws in through!! HA! I will see if I can just buy locall a BETTER bit than what I got or maybe bug Kreg for one. But I am a total KREG tool guy from here on out. Man or man.....no mess of clamps all over the place, nice tight joints easily. Thanks again fellas. Onward into the fog....

Sorry fellas, I was not CLEAR in my note. The TIP of the Roberston bit I received was too short and rounded and just not a nice crisp square and THAT is what made it hard to keep it in the screw head. I had one helluva time.

Hi Birch

I also like the sq. drivers I got some from the DeWalt server center,,, from 3/4" long to 16" long, the 16" long one is bit over kill but if you are putting a screw in back wall of a cabinet it sure makes it easy. no need to brake ones back to get to the hard ones, plus it's nice when the screw stays on the end of the driver, then the real short makes it nice also to put on the drawer guides, plus they make a SMALL sq.drive about 1/16" and 3/32" square that will hold the nasty little screws (4 x 3/8") (6 x 1/2") that like to cam/strip out in the Phil.drive , if you look at them wrong...........small hinges screws for just one of the nasty ones..

I went to the DeWalt server center to pickup a new battery and when I did a walk around I saw the divers hanging on a rack and I said I just found a gold mine LOL ,and I said I need that one and that one and that one and so on by the time I got out the door I had my new battery and 14 sq. drivers in the bag.. LOL
I just hate tool racks LOL LOL and they know that people will pull off more than they need, but you can't have to many tools.. hahahaha ..

It's like the mechanic that has only one crescent wrench, it will do most jobs but he knows he will need more than that to get the job done..

I have to agree with Bj about DeWalt's drivers, they are well designed. I also prefer using "square" drives.

I love my K2 and it makes so many projects easy! Especially carcases and drawers.
