Default Can you believe this?

I purchased my Hitachi M12v little over a year ago brand new from Amazon and paid 120 for it. The regular price was around 145-150 at that time right before Hitachi stoped making the M12v so they could push the M12v2. now look at the price.

Outrageous says I

The question is, who in their right mind would pay that much for this or for that matter any router.

Hey router! You guys are spoiled You ought to see what we have to pay for even a mediocre tool over here. That's why I purchase a lot over the web. Lots of people say I should be supporting local retailers but their mark-up is just too great. I know, I'm in the import business. Wait till you see my new purchase (I'll post pics when it arrives) but I would have paid twice here what it has cost me out of the UK even including freight.

Spoiled, Schpoiled...

This router, M12v sold for under 100 in the 90's. it kept the price at around 110 for a long time and then it topped out around 150 in the 2k's.and now it's discontinued.

This is egregious I tell ya.

Regarding prices: for what its worth you guys, was in local H.Depot and bumped into a fella changing prices on a row of items. Made some comment to him (a casual acuataince) and he swore and said "yeah, we just changed the prices 8-days ago on this stuff. Everything is going up so fast it drives us nuts." So there ya go. And, in my opinion, things are NOT going down, anywhere in the world.
Grab the tools you need now-like I just did- for any reasonable price.

Diamond Drilling sells the M12v Refurbs on Ebay quite frequently. They usually go around $150
