I noticed tonight that the miter guage on my table saw cuts a tiny bit less that square. You have to hold it up to the light with a good square. It can't be more than 1/64 off.

How to fix?

I would try sanding it. If that doesn't work buy yourself a after market one.

Sand my miter guage? It is made out of metal. Are you sure this would be a solution?

Steve, is this a new saw? Have you gone thru the process to true up the blade to the miter slots? Another thought, is the miter gauge adjustable? Maybe the zero mark got knocked out of whack somehow.

I'd do as Brian suggested. It has to be square with the blade. These should be adjustable, a simple turn of a screw. If however, this doesn't correct the problem, go thru the checklist in your manual. It may sound silly doing so but, you may correct the problem from a simple adjustment that you may have missed. Sometimes it's the simplicity of things that WE miss. I would never sand a miter gauge. If all else fails, you may wish to look into a new miter gauge.
