Default Some fond memories

I received an email from Lee Valley the other day. I enjoy reading their "e-letters".

Anyways, came across an article that brought up some very fond memories I had of my grand dad when he did custom cabinetry work. Some of the work that was done back then IMHO has become a lost art. He had your basic tooling that we have today, TS, RAS, planer, BS, the rest were his hand tools, planes, sanding blocks, etc. He had a knack at squaring lumber no matter the size, (lengths) or thickness without much trouble. I'm listing a link to the article that brought these memories up. I hope you enjoy the article.

challagan is on a distinguished road

Good read Ken. I didn't have a woodworker father or grandfather myself like many did. That would of been cool hanging in the shop with them. Hope I get to do so with my grandkids some day!
