Default Concealed hinge

Can someone tell me what a 1 1/4'' Overlay 2-Way Face Frame hinge is. Blum makes them and they are sold from Rockler.

Does it mean your door is 1 and 1/4 bigger than the cabinet face frame.

Thanks

Hi SB

That's what it means BUT the norm is 1/2" overlay...for most door cabinets..

Hi SB

Yes and No, they are if you use the right jig...

Rockler sells a neat one for about 10.oo bucks , then you can use your router to install the hinges..

Or you buy a high end one for about 175.oo bucks..

Sweet. So you use a standard guide collar? I see you can buy a drill bit that is 35 mm. Does that work?

Hi SB

Yep a standard brass guide will do the trick..

35mm bit...
Yes but not with that jig, only with the high end jigs...
I did make a high end jig out of MDF and plywood that works well but it must be used in the drill press...or with a good havy.duty elec.drill,, the 35mm bit hogs out tons of chips at one time.
