| Retired Moderator Forum King | Hi everyone, Well here's a question that came to my mind. Yesterday I went to rent a DVD movie from our local video store and I noticed that the movie I was going to rent which was "Assault on Precint 13" had the letters "WS" next to its title and the other had "FF" next to it's title. I wanted to make sure that it meant wide screen and full screen. So I went to the clerk at the desk just to make sure and he said "Yup!" I don't know why FF was chosen instead of FS but anyway... he told me that some people prefer one over the other which of course it's true because I personally like to watch movies in widescreen version. Anyway... so I thought I could have a little fun and get some answers on this one with this question... Hehe... ![]() Last edited by -Sam-; 05-14-2005 at 12:56 PM. |

| Forum Administrator Supreme Forum King | I selected widescreen because I find that you get to see more of the movie.

| Retired Moderator Forum King | I agree. But then again, I did ask a co-worker of mine what does she prefer and she said full screen because she has a small tv. I guess it depends on the size of the tv too. Oh well... ![]() |

| Registered User Forum Fanatic | Both WS and FF are "full screen" ![]() Most movies are shot in wide screen and are then "shrunk" down to 4:3. Thankfully the US is finally starting to embrace wide screen, (been around for many years in Europe). We have a 46" WS in the lounge a 26"ws in the bedroom and I use a 32" ws in the office as a demo/setup screen for HTPC work. |
