Lets put it this way: When I started on cable I had the node all to myself.

NewMontanaWorkshop will become famous soon enough

Wireless... equivalent to DSL/Cable. 7 mile shot to the tower and it works great. (Did have to whack some new growth out of a tree that is close to the line of view of the antenna.)

I have DSL for right now, but, when this "promotion" goes off, then I will switch back to 56k... (I cant justify getting cable, being retired and for what I use the internet for, just dont use it enough)...

If it wasnt such a great deal on the DSL, I wouldnt have it now...(except I was lied to, and they didnt keep thier word, so, I wont be justifying this DSL come June either!).

I have a wireless connection (256K) mainly because my work provides me a cell phone that I can use also for personal calls If I pay for overages, cable I think is way to expensive for what you get and don't need a home phone for DSL. The town I live In New Mexico got a grant for putting a fiber network in, I think 6 megs but it's $300. install and $49.45 a month. I think I'll pass and buy tools and wood

Here in Western Australia I have a 512k DSL connection with a download limit of 3gig after which the speed is throttled-back to about 68k 'till the end of the billing period. This costs $A39.95 per month.
