Default Who picks what projects you do?

I was thinking about the last couple of projects I've been working on, and it occurred to me, that I've been picking fewer and fewer of my projects lately.

Who picks your projects? The Wife? The Kids? Someone else?

I pick my own projects --
Most of them are gifts for friends or favors I do just for the cost of matetials.
Before I take a project for actual pay -- I make sure it is either something I want to do anyway -- or -- that I charge enough to make it worth missing what I would rather be doing.

Hamlin is an unknown quantity at this point

I had to choose "other".

99% of my projects are ones that are of "maintainence" issue(s).

The best I can do is have some say in the final product.

It's mainly me, but lately, since she's seen that it does look good after all, I've been getting projects....."suggested"
My latest will be oak door and draw fronts for the master bathroom, will be my first "real" piece.
