Another interesting tool...... well you decide. So tell us what this is and what it is for. Be the first one and get 100 points.

Ed, why is it I picture the mailman dreading delvering catalogs to your place? This looks to be a self centering guide for a router. It would be used for cutting mortises centered on a piece of stock?

No catalog sale on this..... bargin bin at a woodworking store, so cheap I just had to take it home and give it a try. "the most advanced router sub-base on the market" "permits the use of all Porter Cable template guide bushings" ....
Since the 2 nylon guide pins are so tall you can use a none plunge routers.

Now maybe the name was the down fall as I haven't seen any more of these around, "RIG-A-Mortis II" the self centering router mortise base. us patent no 4763707

OK I guess that is more then we all wanted to hear.

As I recall this is a self centering mortising guide which attaches in place o fthe router base.
