Default "What is it?" #119

This is the last one of the night...... I'm getting ready to take a little nap.

This is an interesting tool, again as I recall it was purchased in the mid 70's mail order.

Tell us what this is, how it works or some of the features it has. How about we give the winner 100 points, the winner being the first one who gets it correct.

For some added fun if you own one of these tell us so and for the first five that do that I'll send each of you five owners 25 points.... what a deal!

Sorry we are fresh out of steak knives so I can't make the offer any better then this.

Ed

its a center finder for stock. you place the tool (center finder) on the end of the stock that you want to find the center and bank the stock againts the pins on the center finder and draw a line across the end of the stock then roatate the center finder about 90 degs. and repeat the marking again.
and yes i own one got mine from rockler when i bought my dovetail jig.

Boy little did I know these were making a comeback!!!!!!! I figured I have to be giving out a lot of hints.... I got mine for finding the centers when I was going though my turning phase of woodworking..... I don't use the lathe much anymore, maybe a couple of jobs a year on a good year.

Anyway it looks like you won plus you are one of the group of 5 to own one so you get the 100 + the 25 for a total of 125...... they are on the way.

Winner!!!!!!
