I'm pretty sure it's a edge veneer trimmer.

You would place in on some melamine/veneer edging and it will cleanly trim off the waste.

Say isn't this the second one you got tonight? Yes it is for edge trimming, this one has two sets of cutters so it is called a double edge trimmer but in all truth it has another set on the other side so I'm not sure the name fits???? Of course we at the router forum always use our routers for this so I really shouldn't have shown that I have one......

You should find that your points are up another 100 very soon.
