Drill bit/countersink/counterbore unit:

I have several of these.

The drill is tapered for wood screws and the middle portion provides a countersink. The upper stop collar allows for a varying depth counterbore.

Adjustable depth countersink bit? Pilot hole depth can be set by moving the countersink collar up or down the shank?

The additional information I was looking for was the "tapered". "Real wood screws" are gripped along their entire length thus giving better "bite". Now that most people have gone to the "drywall" looking screws you don't have much call for these.

Well know that we all know what the answer is all I need to do is get you your 100 points.....

It's the center bit of a hole saw. The saw part screws on to the area just below the allen nut.
