Please read:

For this "What is it?" we will have 2 winners, the first and the last correct posts...... remember we want details as to how this tool is used or what it does. This will run for at least 24 hours so guessing when it ends could be hard..... If you are the only poster then you will be the first and last and get both sets of 50 points---- other wise the first and last correct posts will each get 50 points.

Thickness Gauge:

Useful for determining if another pass is needed while surface planning with your thicknesser.

Thickness gauge, can also be used with lathe work to check diameters. Judge the distance between each hole in the opposite end perhaps represents a fraction of an inch for quick checking without stopping the lathe. Final check with a mic with power off.

Get quick readings of board thickness in 1/32" increments. The thickness gauge can measure boards up to 2" thick in 1/32" increments. Index stops set slightly larger than ¼" to allow for finish sanding.
