I also made 3 of them for the grandkids the 1st.one was just a test one then I put the stock in the planer to get it square and true, then used a chop saw with a stop block to get all the parts the same size,with just a little bit over size then put them on the sander to put on the nice smooth touch with 600 grit paper..the 2nd group ones are 1 1/2" sq.parts

The grandkids love them and play with them all the time

If you want to have some real fun do the one with the ball inside the block of wood...I used a marble in place of a steel ball bearing...in that way it will not rust...and are a bit easyer to get from a craft store...

The grandkids also like the little puzzle the one with a sq. hole in it...

I have started the bank but it's on the back burner for now...making it for the grandkids also...putting a clear plastic back on the box so the kids can see how it works..

Showing them that just about any safe can be opened from the inside..and just in case I forget how to open it

This is one of the most important operation, I knew. But this is impossible for a person who has no skill on hand-tool or power-planer.
I try to plane. But piece went worse.
