Regis, it is worth every penny of that, the time and materials to make would be many times that. You did a great job on it. Doesn't look like you ever used it, or did you replace the top? If you lived close enough to me I would buy it is a minute.

Herb,
Thanks for the kind, and accurate comments. I didn't have a simple replacement cost model for pricing. I just picked a price that would bring in a buyer. I never did that for my furniture but this is a shop tool and it's pretty big and the market is pretty small.
The top has lots of light scratch wear that's filled in with floor paint and it provides a durable work surface. I made the top about twenty years ago to make a platform to glue up a curly maple oval dining room table top. The cabinet base was built from dumpster diving retrival of construction cut offs. The interesting build feature is the diaphragm design that has Masonite panels glued into grooves in the 2 x 4 members to eliminate both longitudinal and transverse racking. The drawers ride on side mount, full extension ball bearing slides so it's a pretty robust shop assembly table. And, the whole thing is on casters.

Thanks Herb & RainMan,

Regis built a quality Assembly table, he was kind enough to show me some other quality furniture that he had made. I was very impressed with his work and definitely inspired to work even harder on my craftsman ship. Its not about the quantity of stuff built, its the quality that goes into making a fine peace. I still have a lot of learning to do to make the fine furniture, I have quite a bit of experience with antique furniture but have been working toward learning more about building my own and hopefully some day someone will be with a antique that I made to last many generations. Thanks Regis!!
