I've documented some of what the experts here have passed on but certainly far from all of it.
- There are 6 different "classes" of routers.
- There are 15-16 different ways of using a router, depending on how awake I am when I count them off.
- fixtures slide on a table and bring the workpiece to the router, and
- jigs guide the router through the workpiece. The difference between fixtures and jigs is huge.
Once you've figured out how the router works then you've got to consider bits and there's another can of worms. Each class of router "could" have their own specific bits.
That's it for now, gotta run, doing sheathing on the "atellier" today.
