Could anybody suggest a router table with router combination to buy that is very functional and well made, or should I spent the money on a spindle machine from the go. Looks to me the price difference will be very minimal.
Hi, and welcome to the forum. Routers and shapers are just tools, and whether one is "better" than the other depends on the job that it will be required to do. If you're going to build large furniture, your needs will be quite different from someone that wants to build small jewelry boxes. A quality router table setup can easily run as much money as a shaper, but don't forget to take into account the price of the bits too. It really comes down to what you want to use the tool for.
