Hello! My name is Rich and I'm a total newbie at woodworking! I was given a Bosch plunge router 1611EVS TYP: 0601611734 to start me on my journey but it missing a collet however, I do have the nut. Do I need a 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch collet for this model?? I'm seeing a bunch on EBay at a decent price that will fit a 1617, 1618 and 1619 series routers. Will one of these work with mine? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as I'm eager to start using this router!!!
Rich
You may want to try Bosch directly. Some models are not compatible with other models. I'm not familiar with Bosch, but if contact their customer service, they may be able to lead you in the right direction.
Best of Luck.
Rich, any place that sells Bosch can order a new collet and nut for you. The 1611 uses a different, larger set than the 1617. Any time you need to order a Bosch part it helps to have the number off your router.
