Make a couple of patterns out of 1/2 MDF. Use a scroll saw or jigsaw. Then get a good template guide that fits your router correctly. Use a 1/4" Solid Carbide Spiral UpCut bit to cut your design from the wood you are using for your product using you new template. Be very careful, you must hold tight and start your upcut bit at a 45% angle and sink it into your product material (wood) until your router base is level on your template. Then move your router with the upcut bit in it toward your template. Make sure your template guide is tightened down well so it doesn't vibrate loose!!!
