The manual lists the 919.176120 as a 2HP unit.

Craftsman many times plays games with HP ratings. This one seems legit. A 3HP for a replacement would not be a problem so long as the physical size, shaft are the same. So long as your wiring is up to the extra HP.

Why does a 3rd party seller list only certain models? May be the only info they have on hand? Wouldn't read anything at all into that, though.

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.
