Hi Dean

You beat ,that should work just fine

Why you are in a hold pattern waiting for the base plate take one of the screws out of the router and take it down to the ACE hardware store and pickup 4 or 5 screws the same size, then cut off the heads and then chuck them up it your battery drill and grind the screw to a point (cone point) then when you get the base plate and the brass setup ring screw the new cone point screws into the router then chuck up pin and set the plate in place and then tap the plate with a hammer this will mark the spot you need to drill out the mounting holes,,,,and they will be dead on...

If I recall right the screw size for the Freud is 8mm...
