Default Keepsake boxes

Alexis and Estella are a couple of our young neighbor girls. Very sweet gals that come over for a chat with me or my Wife.

A week or so ago they asked if I could make them boxes to hold little treasures. I told them I would see what I could do. I went to the store and picked up a 1x8x8' poplar board, some hinges and latches. They want to paint/decorate them, so poplar worked well.

Using 3/8" box joints, I got the 3.5" sides made, inset the bottoms, and the rest of the board made the tops.
